Interclub Tennis

Interclub tennis is a great way to further develop your tennis skills and become involved in tennis throughout the Brisbane region. Interclub tennis is available to RLTA Members who want the extra challenge to play competitors from other clubs in doubles and singles tennis matches. Player selection to represent our club for interclub tennis tournaments are often decided upon by the RLTA selection committee.

The RLTA is currently involved in several interclub tennis competitions.

Tom Ferguson Shield

4th August 2024

The annual competition for the Tom Ferguson Shield is a series of inter-district matches played between Redlands, Beenleigh, Tennis Gold Coast and Beaudesert. The competition is held in August of each year.

The event consists of 4 different divisions: Opens, A Grade, B Grade & Seniors. Each team will play a mens doubles, ladies doubles and two mixed doubles matches against each team in their division.

Teams for the event are selected by the RLTA committee.

This will be our 1st year and will continue to be an annual competition against the Redcliffe Tennis Centre.

As for the adults above, our Juniors will also have the opportunity to compete against the Redcliffe Tennis Centre. The competition consists of both a junior boys and a junior girls division.
